Sabrina Arcamonte (General Manager and Team Instructor) has been teaching competitive and recreational gymnastics for 8 years. Sabrina has been a competitive gymnast/athlete for 14 years. Sabrina also has experience in ballet, tennis, management in birthday parties, front office as well as the summer/day camp that Coral Reef Gymnastics has to offer. She brings her experience and expertise to Coral Reef because of her passion to make Coral Reef a safe and fun environment for all. Sabrina is USAG certified and a level 9 NAWGJ judge. Sabrina graduated from Broward College with an Associate’s in Arts and is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s in Education at Florida International University. Sabrina’s hobbies include photography, traveling, painting and music. Sabrina is a daughter to Carla and Steve Arcamonte, and sister to Nicole, Gaby, Isabella and Alessandra Arcamonte. Jane Rojas (After School Program Manager) has over 40 years experience in recreational and team gymnastics. Jane began her gymnastics career when she joined the YMCA in New Jersey where she was a competitive gymnast for 6 years. Soon after retiring from being a competitive gymnast, she realized her love for gymnastics was too strong and began her coaching career as a recreational gymnastics instructor at the YMCA. Jane is USAG certified as well as having received certification in the following: Safety and Risk Management, Region 8 Congress, Fundamentals of Gymnastics Instruction, Women’s JO Team Coaches, National Coaches Course, Brain and Body Basics and Brain Body: Beyond Basics. Jane has 2 children and 2 grandchildren with another expected to arrive in April 2019. Jane’s hobbies include spending time with her family as well as drawing and cutting wood to create unique wood designs. Jane brings organization and enthusiasm to Coral Reef Gymnastics. Recreational Floor Manager and Recreational Girls and Preschool Gymnastics Instructor
Amanda Alonso (Recreational Floor Manager and Recreational Girls and Preschool Gymnastics Instructor) has been teaching gymnastics for 8 years. Amanda was a competitive gymnast for 8 years, a competitive cheerleader for 6 years and a dancer for 2 years. Amanda has also had 3 years of experience managing summer, winter and spring camps as well as special events. Amanda brings enthusiasm to Coral Reef Gymnastics with her love for children and her excitement to share her expertise in gymnastics. Amanda is USAG certified and has a Safety Certification as well as a Safety & Risk Management Certification. Amanda graduated with her Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Business as well as a Minor in Entrepreneurship from Florida International University where she is currently pursuing her Masters Degree. Leesa Van Werven (Team Instructor) has been coaching gymnastics for 33 years. At a very young age, she was responsible for recreational classes and a competitive team right here in South Florida where she was born and raised. Leesa has been a gymnast for 12 years and competitive for 8 years. Leesa also has experience in Sports Medicine where she received her Bachelors Degree at Barry University. She brings energy to Coral Reef Gymnastics because she not only wants to bring out the best talent in each gymnast in a disciplined way but also in a fun, loving environment. Consider her “Gym Mom!” Leesa’s hobbies include being crafty and creative in all of life’s special occasions. Arno van Werven

Arno Van Werven (Team Instructor) has been coaching for more than 30 years. In fact, at the age of 4, he already decided to be a gymnastics coach and that dedication never wavered. He started assisting classes when he was 10 and had his own team at the age of 15. Arno went to a sports college where he graduated as a gymnastics coach and as a sports therapist for special needs children. Being from the Netherlands, he had several Dutch National Championships before he moved to the United States in 1994. He was hired by a gymnastics team in Davie and has coached in this area ever since. Over the years Arno has produced many State Champions and is excited to continue this trend at Coral Reef Gymnastics. The family oriented gym is a perfect fit for this family guy who is married to Coach Leesa, with whom he has two daughters, Skyla and Tara. Although gymnastics is his main love, he is also very interested in science, and astronomy in particular. Scott Higgins (Team Instructor) has 30+ years coaching competitive gymnastics. Additionally, he also has experience as a student of the martial arts ranked in 3 disciplines: Akihito, Jujutsu, and Judo. Scott is USAG and Safety Certified. Scott brings professionalism and excitement to Coral Reef Gymnastics by thoroughly encouraging his athletes in their daily practices. Chriss Will (Front Desk Representative) has worked as a gym receptionist for 6 years. She was a competitive gymnast in the time of the dinosaurs. Chriss is an army veteran and has 20+ years of office and customer service experience. She is the mother of four and the grandmother of two. Chriss has coached football and cheerleading. Having two competitive gymnasts, Chriss has no time for hobbies aside from spending time with her family. Chriss brings professionalism and excitement to Coral Reef Gymnastics with her many years of experience. Ana Maldonado (Front Desk Representative) has been working in the customer service industry for over 40 years. Ana has experience as Office General Clerk Assistant completing all office duties as well as the acting receptionist. Ana recently retired from her career in August 2018 and now works part time at Coral Reef Gymnastics as the Front Desk Representative. Ana delivers great service and is friendly and helpful to parents, athletes and other employees. Ana graduated from Barringer High School where she lived a short time in New Jersey. She is a mother of two as well as a grandmother. Ana’s sons work as a Police Officer for the City of Myers and a Martial Arts Instructor at Coral Reef Gymnastics. Mia Whitton (Gymnastics Instructor, After School Staff & Front Desk Representative) has been teaching gymnastics for 4 years after being a competitive gymnast for 13 years. Mia has also had 2 years experience working within a preschool aiding a variety of ages of children. Mia is CPR certified and brings enthusiasm to the gym with her love for gymnastics and for kids. Mia is currently in her 2nd year of college at Broward College and will be transferring to the University of South Florid next year where she is studying communication disorders in hopes of becoming a speech therapist. Emily Avila (Front Desk Representative) has been at the front desk since March 2018. Emily brings energy to Coral Reef Gymnastics with her love for children and desire to help others. Emily is CPR certified and is a senior at Archbishop McCarthy High School and plans to study business in college. Martial Arts, Tumbling, Parkour, and Recreational Girls/Boys Gymnastics Instructor
Christopher Flores (Martial Arts, Tumbling, Parkour, and Recreational Girls/Boys Gymnastics Instructor) was a competitive athlete for 5 years and has been teaching for 14 years: martial arts (14 years), tumbling and gymnastics (2 years), and parkour (1 year). Christopher brings not only knowledge of physical skill development to his class, but also instills the fundamentals of class structure, discipline, motivation, and life skills. After high school, Christopher attended college for 2 years studying criminal justice as well as attended the Florida College of Natural Health to learn various styles of massage therapy. He has obtained certifications in Israeli Krav Maga Level 1, Group Training in Fitness Kickboxing, and is USAG certified. Christopher’s hobbies include weight training, drawing, learning and training martial arts and gymnastics. Christopher discovered two years ago his new passion for training and guiding his students in gymnastics and tumbling as well as ninja and martial arts. Everyday he learns something new from his students as well as teaches them something new in return. Karina Gonzalez (Recreational Gymnastics and Dance Instructor) has been teaching gymnastic for 5 years. Karina was a competitive gymnast for 8 years as well as a dancer for 4 years. Karina was a performer at multiple fairs, events, and has even performed at the Disney Downtown Center in addition to Universal Studios City-Walk stage. She was a level 10 competitive gymnast here in South Florida until she received an athletic scholarship to NC State University, where she competed for 4 years. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication. Nicole is a mother to 5 children and loves having the opportunity to motivate young girls in becoming successful gymnasts. Gabriela Arcamonte (Gymnastics and Dance Instructor) has been a competitive gymnast for 13 years. She is actually still a competitive gymnast competing for Coral Reef Gymnastics as a level 9 gymnast. Gabriela has also been a dancer for 4 years with experience in hip-hop, jazz, and tap. Gabriela currently attends Broward Virtual School where she is currently in her junior year of schooling. Simultaneously, Gabriela attends classes at Broward College where she is pursuing her Associates of Arts. Gabriela has hopes to attend Stanford University for College on an academic scholarship while still pursuing her gymnastics career. Her hobbies include shopping and anything related to fashion. Kelsey Taber (Recreational Gymnastics Instructor) has been teaching gymnastics for about a year. Kelsey was a gymnast for four years at Coral Reef Gymnastics when she was younger and was also a competitive dancer for 4 years with her Color-Guard team in high school. Victoria Gross (After School Program Representative) has been working with children for 2 years. Victoria has experience in working summer, winter and day camps. Lori Vorachek (After School Program Representative) was born and raised in the panhandle of Florida. Lori brings joy to Coral Reef Gymnastics with her preparedness and excitement. Lori met her husband, Aaron, in 1996, whom she had three children with, Tysen, Trace and Alexa. In her free time, Lori likes to refurnish furniture as well as complete other interior designing projects, planting and landscaping. Pierina Gutierrez (Volunteer) has been in the after school program since September 2018. Pierina is a mother of one of the gymnast in level 9 who practices at Coral Reef Gymnastics. Angela Benefield-McNair (Volunteer) has taught for the School Board of Broward County for 15 years and has also facilitated as a School Administrator. She is the CEO/Founder/President of a nonprofit organization, Sisters Empowering Sisters, Inc. established in 2006. Angela is also the founder of youth entrepreneurship and mentorship programs called SES Girl Talk and Boys, Business and Basketball. Additionally, she is the CEO and Founder of a for-profit organization, “WE” Women Everywhere. Angela brings passion to Coral Reef Gymnastics with her love for the youth. Her daughter’s passion for gymnastics caused her to push through after the loss of her father. She encouraged many young people through helping others to find their passion through their pain. Angela graduated from Bethune Cookman University with a degree in Business Administration and Marketing. She also furthered her education at Florida Atlantic University and Florida Memorial University and became a certified teacher in elementary education. She was the wife of the late Willie James McNair and the mother of three children. Angela is passionate about helping and empowering others, building entrepreneurs and leaders, and making a difference in her community. Glenda Vazquez (Volunteer) has been a volunteer at Coral Reef Gymnastics since August of 2018. Glenda has been in the medical field for over 20 years with experience in treating adults and kids. She is a joyful and ambitious person and loves to volunteer in her free time. Glenda is a registered nurse as well as a diabetes educator and a care coordinator. Glenda is certified as a billing and coding specialist. She is a mother to two children with her youngest being a competitive gymnast since she was 8 years old.
